Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)
This visa subclass 300 allows its holder to visit Australia to marry his/her future spouse (Australian citizen). It is a temporary 9-month visa for the holder to get married before the validity of the visa ends. After your marriage with an Australian citizen, you will be eligible for applying for a Partner visa through the appropriate channel. The visa application must be sponsored by the prospective partner with a nomination from him/her. This visa also allows the holder to work or study inside Australia following the government regulations.
Requirements
The applicant must fulfill all the requirements and eligibility criteria when applying for a Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300).
- You must be outside when you apply for the Prospective Marriage Visa.
- The visa application must be sponsored by your prospective partner.
- The applicant must submit the Proof of nomination.
- The applicant must meet the Australian Health & character requirements.
- The Applicant must fulfill the age criteria (above 18 years of age).
- A document/evidence must be submitted as proof of the authenticity of the marriage.
- You must sign and follow the Australian values statement.
- No previous refusal or cancellation of visa application.
- You must marry your partner before the visa period ends.
Partner Visa Offshore (Subclasses 309 and 100)
The partner visa subclass 309 and subclass 100 allows the spouse or partner of a permanent resident or citizen of Australia to live in the country. Requirements
- Applicant must be outside Australia when applying for visa subclass 309.
- The applicant must fulfill the age requirement criteria.

- No previous cancellation or refusal of visa application.
- Applicant must hold a temporary partner visa subclass 309 when allying for permanent partner visa subclass 100. >
The partner visa subclass 309 allows you to stay in Australia for 15 to 24 months with your partner. You must get your permanent visa subclass 100 before the visa subclass 309 period ends.
Partner Visa Onshore (Subclass 820/801)
The Partner Visa subclass 820 and subclass 801 de facto partner or spouse of a permanent resident or citizen of Australia to reside with his/her partner. The Visa Subclass 820 is a temporary visa that lest you stay in the country till a decision is made on your permanent visa Subclass 801. You must be a holder of visa Subclass 820 when applying for visa subclass 801.
Permanent visa subclass 801 permits:
- To stay, work as well as study in Australia.
- Visa holders can attend free English classes provided by the Adult Migrant English Program.
- You can apply for Australian citizenship if you qualify all the clauses mentioned by the authority.
- You can apply for the country’s public health care scheme.
- You can sponsor for family visitor visa Australia for any of your family members who wish to visit the country with you under visa 801.
Requirements
- You must be in a continued relationship with your partner. You need to show that you have lived with your spouse for at least 12 months.
